Absolutely all facilities are nearby, including a public swimming pool, and an attractive riverside park. There is a choice of takeaway food from Indian or Chinese restaurants or the local fish and chips shop. The town has interesting craft workshops, a library, museum, shops, and there is a medium sized supermarket 700m from the house. The town centre offers many pubs and specialist restaurants, all serving food in the evenings.

   
Places To Visit

The cottage is within easy reach by car, bus or train of the World Heritage City of Bath. Further afield other places of interest include Bristol, Salisbury, Stonehenge, and Cheddar Gorge.

The main bridge crossing the River Avon dates from the 17th century.

A tall but tiny Saxon church rescued from obscurity in the 19th century has turned out to be one of the most important buildings of its age in Britain.

The town is also home to an impressive 14th century Tithe barn, situated alongside the Kennet and Avon Canal, overlooking the River Avon.
